The captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. His trademark is the straw hat given to him during his childhood by his rescuer, Red-Haired Shanks. He ate the "Gum-Gum Fruit,” which left him as a rubber-man and enabled him to stretch his body like rubber. His dream is to become the King of Pirates.
